"links" folder in Favorites menu

Why do I constantly have to delete a "links" folder from
my favorites menu? I do not want it there and it annoys
me when it shows up. I have tried moving it and deleting
it. It always comes back. Is there a way to permanently
keep it out of my favorites file?
 
You cannot delete the Links folder permanently.
If you don't want to see that valuable folder, then set the attributes
to Hidden.
