Running MyIE2 as desired browser.
Have installed both Firefox and Maxthon.
MyIE2 is constantly causing my notebook into the blue screen when loading
large files.
Removed MyIE2 and now OE doesn't open any browsers when I click on a link
Outlook ask for the browser though

I look at the folders options but I don't know which file type should I
edit?

any clues?

What if you re-install the browsers and change your default browser. Then
associations should get changed.

Also, hasn't MyIE2's development stopped and now it's called Maxthon?
Perhaps they have some issues with SP2 or something... Try the newest
version available.

Try XPsp2's new IE Repair tool? Run...

iexplore.exe /rereg

Note: this command does a mass re-registration of many key .dlls
so I think it is best to at least close all IE and OE windows before
starting it.

Good luck

thanks for the great tip

after running it, OE links open in IE

The documentation that comes with IE's help doesn't help much
