Linking Word And Excel

I am trying to link several fields in Excel to a Word Doc. I'm linking the
fields using Ctrl-Paste as Hyperlink. The linking works fine. However,
when I try to save the files in different folders or move the files, all the
links are lost. This makes it very hard to replicate the linking for my 6
analysts. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Links break when you move files. Don't move them.

Ok, that wasn't the answer I was hoping for. Maybe you have some insight
for a work around. Basically, I want to link our excel model to a report
template. For every client, I'd like to be able to rename the file and put
it in the cleint's sub-directory. Is there any way around this problem of
the links breaking?

Brady:

Sounds like you might need a macro that will SaveAs your Excel file into the
correct directory with a new name, then capture that name and insert a
hyperlink into the correct Word doc. Or are you trying to get the values of
specific cells into the Word doc?
