Linking with Excel

I have a menu that I change the prices to all the time and would like the
description be in work and then have a field that links to excel to get the
price. how do i do this?
 
One way is to enter the prices and perform the calculations in Excel, and
then copy the relevant range and paste special as a link into your Word
document.
