Linking to .txt from ftp

I'm attempting to link files through an ftp setup. The reason is to import
these txt files to another table for use on macros. I am able to open up
and view the txt files, however whenever I attempt to link to them I get

Internet Login Failure.

Any ideas

You can't link using FTP. Access doesn't recognize the FTP protocol for
linking purposes.

You'll have to transfer the files to your hard drive, then link them. There
are a couple of solutions for FTP at "The Access Web"
