Linking to different sources of data in Access 2003.

I'm putting together a small reporting database, that takes data from
both an SQL server other access databases, and excel tables. How can I
link to these different data sources at the same time? If I use the
regular table link function on a .MBD file, I cannot link to the SQL
server. And when I use a .MDP access project, I can link to the SQL
server, but cannot import the access and excel files (and I don't want
to have them added to the SQL database). Any ideas on how I should do this.

And incidentally, I don't know if it makes any difference or not, but I
won't need to enter any data into the table. This is just a reporting tool.

Cheers.

Hi Joao,

Set up an ODBC connection to the SQL server using the Data Sources
applet in the control panel. You should then be able to use it as a data
source for linked tables in an .mdb.
