linking hotmail to outlook

I just recently installed outlook 2003 on my computer and
created an inbox for my hotmail account. What happens is
that messages in hotmail will not automatically download
on to outlook. I have to do it manually by highlighting
a message and then saving it into another folder in the
main outlook inbox. I can view messages from hotmail
through outlook, but they stay on the hotmail server and
it takes a long time to access. Is there a way to link
the hotmail account to the main outlook inbox so that
when I check my messages in outlook in will automatically
download from the hotmail server and be saved on
outlook. The problem is that when I have to access the
hotmail server everytime to view a message it takes a
long time. I would very much appreciate it if someone
could help me. I hope I have explained well.

Have you tryed to select all your hotmail messages and drag and drop
to another inbox in your folder list?

Hi there
I dont think that there is an option of downloading all
the messages from hotmail automatically because your
hotmail account isnt POP3 so doesnt get "downloaded"
unless you drag the message to another folder (as you are
doing) as DaveJar says then you can highlight all the
messages and drag them over but I admit that that will
take some time to do given the fact that you say that even
dragging one message takes a while to transfer over. I
might be wrong though and would welcome any other comments
from other MVP's
