Linking Analog VCR to ASUS V9180VS Graphics Card

I am using an Asus V9180 VS (Video Suite) graphics card. It comes
with S-VID and composite input and output jacks. (See
http://usa.asus.com/products/vga/v9180vs/overview.htm.)

My question: what hardware do I need in order to send standard TV
cable output from a typical VHS VCR to these input jacks? (The VCR
also has audio and video in/out phono jacks, if it would be easier to
deliver the data to the V9180 that way. I also have USB 2.0 and
Ethernet connections.)

I am guessing that there must be some kind of hardware device that I
would use to translate from TV cable to some computer input -- but
what device is recommended?

This is my first foray into digital video; I assume that input,
physically delivered to the input jacks, will somehow appear on the
computer screen and that I can learn to work with it from there.

Hello there
There shoul be an adaptor .I'm not sure what you mean
by "phono jacks" but i figure your vcr has a scart output
also .an adaptor for scart is much easier to find.

SCART is something ONLY found in Europe. If the original poster is in
another part of the world, he/she will have no idea what SCART is and
neither will any retail store!
