LINKING ACCESS WITH OUTLOOK

When linking Access with Outlook there are two confusing issues 1. When you
use the export utility to export from Outlook Calendar to a .mdb it creates a
very nice table in Access but it does not seem possible to link the two. 2.
When the Import utility in Access is used to create a linked table with
Outlook the linked table is grossly incomplete and lacks several fields such
as time and date of event. Has anyone developed a solution to enable Access
to utilize Outlook as a scheduler with fully linked functionionality ?

Unfortunately, I don't have an answer for you Paul, but I have a question
that is related. When I link a contact list in Outlook to an Access database,
some of the Contact entries don't show up in the Access database. As far as I
can tell there is no difference in entries that show up vs those that don't.
I can provide more information as needed on request.

Chris:

Curious as to why even the middle name does not appear on
Access; and that the field names of First and Last do not
correspond with the Access convention of FirstName LastName.

Also, there is no way (or is there)to insert an ID (key
field) to the Access table to make the linked table more
meaningful (relational) in Access.

Any advice?

Thanks
