linking a cell

Hi,

i would like to link a cell from an other workbook, but i can't. even if i
try tu use paste special, i get some different window than usual.
could sy help on me?

with the source workbook open, go to the destination workbook and cell, type
"=" then go to the source workbook and cell and hit enter
 
thx, but unfortunatelly its more complicated. i often use this way, but it
does not work in this case and i do not know why :-( i see the "=", but when
i select the source cell does not happen anything
 
depending on what you are doing, you may or may not need to have the source
worksheet open and you may need to update your links. (Edit Links)
 
so, i recognized for now that the sheet was protected and that's why i could
not put a link into the cell.
