Linked table not showing last field

I'm making a linked table to an excel spreadsheet using the wizard in Access
2000.

For some reason the linked table is not showing the last column of the
spreadsheet.

If I open the spreadsheet with excel, make a change, save the change, and
then link the table it works.

Any ideas?

try putting in a permanent new "last" column that is a blank column in your
excel sheet....

not an explanation, and just a guess....but it might work....
