Linked images not displaying

Hi

I have a large (details of all my vinyl collection, down to catalog# - 350
pages) word doc which I mostly work on at home and sometimes bring it in to
the office to edit. I have also scanned all the record labels and inserted
them into the doc by creating a link to the image.

The images are divided into 2 folders - for sale & keeping and at home all
the images show correctly but in the office I just get a blank square where
the image should be.

I have used alt F9 and used find and replace on the path names but still the
images are not shown. I have managed to fix it by replicating the folders I
use at home but just wondering why I couldn't see the images even though the
path was altered.

Thanks

Ian

After changing the path did you F9 to update the field?

Hi Suzanne

Thanks for the reply, forgot about that. Just tried it again, alt F9, find &
replace, F9 didn't do anything. Alt F9 toggled back to the image but didn't
display it. I am on Word 2000 at the office and Word Xp at home.

Presumably something about the path you used as the replacement is not
correct. Try reinserting one of the pictures (linked) from the new folder,
then Alt+F9 and make sure the new path matches what you're using as
replacement text.

Hi Suzanne

It worked. I hadn't selected the table then pressed F9. I just need to sort
out the other prob.

Thanks

Ian
