Link to SQL 2005 via ODBC - some tables don't appear

In Access 2003 I am trying to link to some tables on a SQL 2005 server. About
30% of the tables don't show in the "Get External Data/Link Tables" menu.

What causes some tables to be visible and linkable and some to not be
visible and linkable?

All tables have the same permissions and are in the same schema.

Well, permissions was going to my guess. Another Service Pack 3 problem
perhaps?

When you say you are linking via ODBC, which driver are you using and which
Operating System are you on?

If you are on XP, then you should be using the SQL Native Client driver and
if on Vista, the normal SQL Server driver.
