Link to Excel Sheet

Hi at all,

i developed an Access Database with Access 2000
and i have queries that changes date in a linked Excel
sheet within Access.

Now i tried the update queries in Access 2003 but
the linked excel sheet is not longer to update in Access 2003.

Does anybody know the reason for this look and how to
solve that ? Even if i open the linked excel sheet in access 2003 i can not
make an entry in the fields everything is write protected!

These updates disabled the ability to update linked EXCEL spreadsheets when
you use ACCESS 2002 or ACCESS 2003:

Office XP

Office 2003

This feature has been disabled for legal reasons. Microsoft's own words:
"Because of legal issues, Microsoft has disabled the functionality in Access
2003 and in Access 2002 that let users change the data in linked tables that
point to a range in an Excel workbook." Microsoft lost a legal case
involving a person who claimed a patent on the feature.

These changes did not affect ACCESS 2000 or ACCESS 97.
