I had to perform a non destructive recovery of my PC. I have re-installed MS
Access 2003. Now when I attempt to use MS access to link to a SQL server
database the ODBC dialog does not display. The link button briefly becomes
active and then the dialog closes and the ODBC dialog that is supposed to
diaplsy does not display. Any thoughts on what to do to correct this ?

Thanks

Are you running Norton Internet Security 2006? If so, try turning off the MS
Office Plug In (Options->Anti Virus->Miscellaneous). It worked for me. I have
spent ages trying to solve this one myself and there doesn't seem to be much
info on it anywhere.

Regards

I had this same problem and turning off the Norton Anti-virus option
fixed it! Thanks for the help!
