Link Table ODBC error Invalid field definition

I am trying to link a table from our system using ODBC. When I choose the
table it gives me this error: Invalid field definition ' in definition of
index or relationship. Can anyone shed some light on this? I need to know
where to turn to be able to link this table. Thanks in advance.
