Link Cell to Chart

I have read the different posts on linking cells between worsheets, but is
there a way to link a cell from one worksheet, to a chart which is it's own
worksheet? I have tried inserting a hyperlink, but when I select "place in
this document" it seems as if I have to enter another cell in the worksheet
my data is in. Any suggestions?
