link between contacts and appointments in outlook 2007

outlook 2003 provided a feature to go to a contact, click on actions, select
"new appointment" and it enters "calendar" immediatly with a link to the
contact which allows one to make a follow up call easily. this feature is
missing from outlook 2007. there are work arounds but that is not good enough.
It would if there were a link between contacts and an appointment to call
the contact.

I think you are mainly missing the feature that shows the link. That
feature is there, just not activated by default. To activate it, go into
Tools, Options, Contact Options and check "Show Contact Linking for all
Forms".
Does that address your issue?

I TOTALLY agree with Dr. Brittain!! I've been looking all over the place for
a way to do what used to be very simple. I even went in to the All Commands
to try to add a spot to make appointments from the Contact. There is every
command in the world EXCEPT Appointment. I don't want to email a meeting...I
want to put it on my calendar to auto-link to the contact. I work with
realtors and this is a great tool for them....I tell them when they talk to
people all they have to do is got up to Actions and click on
Appointment...type in Call Re whatever and it populates the Calendar and
links back to the contact......I can't find how do do this in 2007. PLEASE
help! Thanks!
