Line Printer Daemon (LPD) of Windows XP does not print PCL codes

S

Hello. I have an ethernet lan based on a unix server and PCs attached
to it.
I have two types of printers, network printers and printers connected
directly to PC.

The files that unix server produces are text files with embedded PCL
codes that format the documents. When i send a file to a network
printer, it works correctly, the printer "understand" the PCL code
sequences to format the listing.

But when i send a file to a printer connected to the PC, it prints the
text file and the PCL codes also. I mean, it does not interpret the
PCL codes to format the page, but it consider them as plain text.

I have been loooking for solutions on internet, but none of them
functions (adding parameters to windows registry like
SimulatePassThrough, LpdPrinterPassTrough, etc...)

¿Could anyone help me?

Thank you for your attention
