I am running Win XP Pro and IE 6.0.2800 SP1 all up to
date. PROBLEM- when I go to msn.com, I get the following
error notice at the bottom left status area of the brower
window:

Line:21
Char:2
Error: Library Not Registered
Code:0
URL:http//www.msn.com

I am also running latest Sun JAVA, Zone Alarm, Yahoo
Google and Ebay toolbars.

Can anyone tell me why I am getting this error and
provide some info about fixing it? Thanks

From http://www.fjsmjs.com/IE/scriptdb.htm

Go to Tools | Internet Options | Advanced.
Check the box to Disable script debugging.
Uncheck the box to Display a notification about every script error.

You might want to refresh your scripting engine:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/nhp/default.asp?contentid=28001169
or

Sometimes there's a corrupt file in the cache and one must go to Tools |
Internet Options and click Delete Files.

Frank, ty but....still have the same problem. All above
steps taken, some implemented b4 you wrote. Others I
appreciate the time you took to advise. However, and only
for the msn.com site, I still have that same error in the
bottom of the browser in the status area on the left side.

Originally I had a similar error which prevents web
updates of my office 2003 software. After updating the
refreshing scripts, loading 5.6, and deleting cache and
temp files, I was able to eliminate this problem and
office update scan completes now.

Although the recalictrant error notice remains when I
visit Msn.com's page, it doesn't create any problems
other than that I am "crazy" to get rid of it. I hate it
when my machine is not error free. I have set my options
so that there is not debugger and these errors are not
displayed, but I still hate it when it shows up in the
status area. Is there anything else you can think of.
Thanks,

Richard
