Limted connection

I have had a problem with my LAN connection. I dont know what I did but
somehow i have lost my connection at my dorm. There is a yellow caution sign
over the network icon in the tray that says i have limited or no connection.
It shows that i am connected but i can't use the web at all. I have tried
many things like updating the drivers, uninstalling Nortan Antivirus,
recovering the system to the earliest date possible but nothing works. I
right click on the the icon in the tray and try to repair the connection but
it says i cannot renew my ip. The network services at my school tell me its
a problem with my comp so they won't come fix it.
please help
 
what's the ip address? posting the result of ipconfig /all here may help.
