limiting accounts to login on only one station at a time

Hoping for an *easy* solution to this may be too much to ask, so I'll just hope there is *a* solution.

We are running a Windows 2000 Active Directory environment with approximately 400 workstations. Management has decided they would like us to limit the user accounts so that one account can't be logged on in two places at the same time.

A couple of years ago, while looking for a solution to another problem, I came across a reference to creating a database that would update at every logon or logoff event. And then using this database to verify each account only had one entry at any point. I could, of course, be making this up as I can't find any mention of it now.

Any help on this is appreciated.

Thank you.

Keith

The database tool you are thinking of is called cconnect.exe.
