Limiting Access to Access :)

Hello,

Quick, hopefully easy, question. Is there a way to have
an Access DB on a network drive setup so, that only one
person can access it at a time, and then have someone else
be able to get into it once the first person is done with
it?

In Tools|Options, on the advanced tab (A2002)you can set
the default open mode to exclusive rather than shared.
When opened in exclusive mode (you can also manually
choose this when opening in the open database dialog) a
database will not allow other users in until the database
is closed.

You could try setting it to open Exclusive. j.
