Limited or No Connectivy

I keep getting the “Limited or No Connectivity†prompt ever so often. I
called my ISP on several occasions about the problem. It seems as though
they fix the problem with a band-aid. Technicians have walked me through a
process which works for the time being, but the PC goes back to the
aforementioned prompt within 24 hours.

I’ve become so frustrated, I decided to visit my friend’s home to compare my
Desktop Network Connections with those on a friend’s computer. What I
observed is that in the friend's “Network Connection - LAN or High-Speed
Internetâ€, it has two (2) files: one is the “Local Area Network†and the
other is the “1394 Net Adapter Connection†which is missing on my PC.

I tried re-installing the 1394 Network Adapter but for some reason it would
not work.

Could someone please tell me what are the alternatives and what I need to do
to get rid of this constant error?

I truly would appreciate any assistance I can get. Thank you.

Is you network card driver fully up to date? What is your Service Pack
level?

Is you network card driver fully up to date?

i WAS GOING To ask the same thing. When I first got dsl and needed a
network port, I bought and installed a card and it worked fine. 6
months later something else went wrong and a secondary problem became
the network card. Installing it again with the same software off the
CD that came with it, that I used the first time, didn't work.
Downloading a new driver worked.

Of course my card didnt work at all, but I think anything like that is
possible.
