1. I connect to the net through a cable/LAN connection.
In my comp, i am the admin.. my bro has a 'limited account'. When he goes to
network connections > LAN.. there is no enable option available..
What can be the prob and what is the soln??
That's how Windows XP is supposed to work. By design, a limited user
isn't allowed to enable or disable network connections.
If your computer has Windows XP Professional, type this line at a
command prompt, replacing "name" with your brother's user name:
net localgroup "Network Configuration Operators" "name" /add
That will add his account to the Network Configuration Operators
group, which will allow him to enable and disable network connections:
If your computer has Windows XP Home Edition, that command isn't
available. The only solution that I know of for Home Edition is to
give your brother an administrator account.
