Limitations of USB devices

H

Henry Bemis

I am attempting to add four 300 gig ide drives to my Windows XP system for
video/audio storage.

I'm using those flipper USB cable adaptors to connect the drives and the drives
are powered by a 300 watt PS.

All drives have been formatted individually before connecting them to a USB 2.0
hub. All drives have the jumper set at Master.

But Windows only recognizes two of them. I have made sure using TweakUI that the
drive letters are available..

I thought we were supposed to get up to 127 devices on USB?

Any thoughts? I can live with just two 300 gig drives but really wanted to use
all four.
