Limit User View

I would like to add a user to my computer. When the person signs on I would
like for him to only see a icon for one or two programs and access one or two
programs. I've tried adding a new user with limited access, but the desktop
shows more programs than I would like and has access to them. How do I pick
the programs a user can see and use?

Would really appreciate a quick solution.

You should buy a special program that will do this for you. That is the
only real way to get this kind of control. I don't recall any names, since
the last time I used them was a decade ago, but I still encounter them on
public terminals, in libraries, and other places. "Kiosk" might be a good
place to start.
