Hi, well um i want limewire to work on my computer so i downloaded it
and all and went threw the installs. However limeiwre in all the times
i have tried has not ever worked. i set the firewall(s) to accept
limewire and it showed they did. if anyone could give me some advice
on how to get limewire to work i would greatly accept it.

You need to switch to torrents
www.utorrent.com

After installing SP2 I couldn't get p2p to work and had to run
FIREWALL.CPL > Advanced > ICMP settings
and allow everything. even tho I was using ZoneAlarm.
