Mr Pounder

If I was to download from Limewire would I have to leave my computer turned
on all the time?

Sorry for asking possibly a stupid question.

While you're not actively downloading files, your computer (and
Limewire) can be turned on or off at your discretion.

You can obviously only D\Load while you are connected to LW.
However next time you run LW it will try to carry on D\loading where it left
off.

I thank both of you gentlemen.

Please let us know how successful you were in downloading.

I downloaded 30 versions of a file that I found there. Every one was
infected with a worm, as reported by Grisoft AVG antivirus. Perhaps
these were false positives.

I`ve had the same thing Richard. Very often the suspect is a `crack` file
in the package, that AVG is suspicious of.
I`ve even examined some in AIDA and w32dsm89, but there was
nothing dodgy. So as you say, false positives.

Had a crack at Norton Utilities 2006 - I like the tools but not the AV.
AVG detected worm on both of two attempts so I kicked the whole lot off.
Better safe than sorry.
