Like the IP4500 but network ready?

I'm looking for a good quality photo printer which will also be used for
text documents. I'd really like it to be network ready and able to
connect to my wireless router. I thought it would be pretty easy to find
such a printer, but it seems like all printers these days are
multifunction behemoths. I already have a scanner and have no need for
fax, a photocopier etc.

Can people here recommend a printer similar to the canon IP4500 which is
also network ready or wireless?

Thank you

If you want it mainly for text look at a laser.

It's rather tough to fit your requirements. Firstly, the ip4500 is an
older model that is difficult to find. It's a good model, and the
replacement doesn't have better specifications, but it's not one you
can easily find.

Canon did offer network models for their consumer printers. Text has
NOT improved in present models. There was the ip5200R which is on par
with the ip4300. I own the non-wifi edition. But finding one is more
difficult at a reasonable price.

The mp620 is a WiFi AIO. It's not TOO huge but it takes smaller
cartridges and costs more per page then prior models.

I know HP had some models that were printer only that took the #97
series cartridges. The HP Deskjet 6988 Printer is among these. There
are a few that take the #02 cartridge, but I don't think these models
do text as well. I'm not aware of a #364 model that does network that
is a printer only, though it could be I just can't find it right now.

Thanks for the reply. I'll look into your suggestion and possibily go
for the multifunction route and try the MP620
