Like items will not combine in a pivot table.

I've have used pivot tables quite often, but for some unknown reason this
time I cannot get like items to combine from the soure excel sheet.

You've given us next to nothing to go on to deduce what the problem is.

If you check the LEN() of each item you *think* should combine, do you get a
difference?

Maybe some of the items have space characters at the end, in the source
table, and others don't.
