i bought a new pc here in Japan and it comes with a
licensed windowsxp home edition.. This software is in
Japanese language so I installed a pirated windowsxp
english)pro edition. my question is how can i use my
licensed windowsxp serial so that i may become a legal
windows xp user? can i just send the original cd and ask
for english version of xp cd free of charge? thanks and
more power.

You cannot do what you propose. The OEM license's Product Key
cannot be used to legitimize pirated software. As for exchanging the
Japanese license for an English license, that would be up to the
computer's manufacturer; contact them.

You really have only two other options: Learn Japanese, or
purchase and use a _legitimate_ full retail copy of WinXP Pro to
perform a repair (a.k.a. in-place upgrade) installation, using the new
CD and Product Key.

If your pirated software is activated then it has become legal. There is no need to buy it again. M$ has spent millions to perfect the technology to catch pirates and if it failed to catch you then you are lucky!! Don't waste any more money and if you have any spare cash to give away, you can send it to me so that I can buy new M$ software for the benefit of disabled children in Palestine where Jews (with the help of American Jews) are slaughtering them. I use non Microsoft products wherever possible which requires no activation.

I use Netscape 7.2 as my default browser which has everything I need for my work.
