License Error when trying to play WMA files

M

Mike

I use XP SP2 and WMP10. I keep getting the error "...
cannot play a protected file because an error occured
while verifying the license" (using web help it shows the
error code C00D11DA). I tried to manage the licenses by
restoring them, but I get the same message.

I cannot find any (hidden) DMR folder (some resolutions
point to this) on my computer.

This is very frustrating as I legally purchased these WMA
tracks and now I cannot play any of them.

Thanks for any advice.

Have you plugged that error code in at the Microsoft web site to see what it
says? I'm sorry, I know little about WMP, and less about WinXP [though I use
it], so you'll have to wait for Byte or Mike or someone else to check in here,
for real help.

Where did you buy those tracks? Do they have a troubleshooting guide online?
