Lexmark X63 printer shows busy when not (Win XP).

Lexmark X63 periodically shows busy with Win XP, why and how do I resolve? I have somewhat worked around it by building multiple printers on the same USB port, but eventually I have to pull cables, power, and reboot and that's time consuming and very aggrevating

It's a Lexmark.

Start by COMPLETELY cleaning all printer drivers and starting afresh.
Ensure you disconnect the printer prior to starting and pay particular
attention to Bruce Sanderson's last paragraph on Lexmark printers.
