Lexmark X2480 install problem (Vista Ultimate).

R

Roar Eriksen

Hello, I bought a Lexmark X2480 and I am unable to install it on my system.
I do not have the driver cd as I bought it as a return-product, and I
downloaded the newest driver from Lexmark.com, but I am unable to install it
on Vista Ultimate. I use the downloaded driver program, follow the setup and
insert the USB-cable when required, but after the setup it just says that
the driver is not installed.

And during the installation the Windows hardware installation driver dialog
pops up and does not go away, so I guess it does not get installed anyway. I
have tried to install the drivers manually using the .INF but I only get an
error saying that it doesn't find the driver.

And yes, I do install it with administrative privileges. Hope you have
anything, thank you!

It's possible you have a corrupted setup file

Will any other USB devices install on your machine?
