Lexmark X2350 Vista 32 Driver function

Like so many others on this group, I have been waiting for Lexmark to write a
Vista driver for my pre-Vista all-in-one inkjet printer/scanner (X2350).
After four months, I downloaded the 48MB 32-bit version and installed it,
following instructions to disable anti-virus and uninstall previous Lexmark
drivers.
For the first time the installation seems to have completed without error or
alarm messages, it made a test/alignment print, it scanned the alignment
print, it made a nozzle cleaning print, but my computer doesn't seem to send
any documents to the Lexmark 2350 printer (default printer) queue. When I
ask it to print, the printer icon appears in the system tray, but when I
click on it, it aways shows (0) documents waiting. I have restarted the
computer and tried again, to no avail. For the casual observers out there,
yes the printer functions completely from my wife's XP Home laptop computer
via USB and all other USB devices work on my Vista Home Premium desktop USB
ports. The driver I downloaded today is cjr2300EN.EXE

Thanks, Freddy. That's a useful tip, although it doesn't appear to work with
saved web pages (the Print function doesn't appear when Right-clicking as it
does with .PDF's and other documents).

Unfortunately, it still doesn't help. The Print dialogue box opens,
allowing me to choose another printer (which I have none), select pages,
etc., but when I click on Print, the print queue for my Lexmark printer still
remains empty.

Hi Rick,

All I can do is offer some observations. When you say that your print queue
is empty, are you referring to the options available when you select File >
Print while using something like Word or Word Pad? And when you click on Add
a Printer or Find a Printer (in Word or Word Pad), nothing is available? Can
you print anything, apart from a test page, such as using the procedure
suggested in the link (prior post)? It's hard diagnosing this from afar.

Also, have you perused all the options available in the Properties of the
printer in Control Panel? Post back on your reaction.
