Length of Programs Menu

I have looked through the arcives and can't find an answer to my question. When I click 'start' , 'programs' I only get 8 programs listed with a pop-down arrow. I have put programs in folders so I only have 11 programs. I would like to see them all. I am using the 'traditional' start menu. In the new start menu you can set the number of line items

Any help would be appreciated
Thank you

Right click Start and choose Properties.
On the Start tab click Customize.
Scroll down and uncheck "Use personalized menus".
