I have added an input mask to textbox for a date _/_/_. If
I click in the middle of the input mask the cursor stands
in the middle. It is possible that as the textbox is
entered the cursor automatically jumps to left so that
always immediately can be started with entering the date.

Chris, this is a limitation of input masks, and one of the reasons that they
are about as useful as a chocolate coffee pot.

A good data entry operator knows that they could enter many dates with just
3 keystrokes, e.g.:
9/7
so forcing them find their way through the mask is like diverting them
through molasses.

There may be some folks who find the notion of "a chocolate coffee pot"
quite enticing! Besides the inveterate choco-holics, folks with a
predilection for practical humor could put that pot to great use!
