left-panel font size corresponds to title-slide font

seferiad

I have a large ppt presentation that comprises several topics, each of
which, I would like to be able to distinguish upon viewing the "left panel"
that displays each title slide.

I've noticed that sometimes if I increase the font size for a particular
title, that the corresponding title in the left panel also increases in
size. This is great because then I can simply increase the font size of the
topic headings and immediately recognize where are the different sections
(again, when viewing the left panel).

The problem is that the font size shown in the left panel is sporadic.
Sometimes it corresponds to the title-slide font and sometimes it does not
(the font in the left panel is the same for ALL slides).

Is there a setting somewhere that allows me to control this feature?
Thanks,
Jay

Apart from formatting, does the text (ie, the words themselves) match between
the outline on the left and the slide titles? Change one, the other changes
in all cases?

If so, does the problem you're describing happen on all slides within certain
presentations or is it only on some slides?

If it's on all slides in a particular presentation, look for the A/a icon on
the outline toolbar. Click it once and see if the outline then looks the way
you expect it to.
