Leadtek WinFast GeForce 6800 GT - Good Deal?

Hi guys,

I am still looking at buying a new graphics card and have just seen this,

Its the 6th one down, or 3rd one up. The product code is below.

I get the idea this is a good deal, but would like your opinion before i buy.

I saw that a few days ago (there was a link on this forum) and almost bought one myself, but I a bit borassic

i didn't really help out much, well it is a 6800GT and its £165 so yeah id say it was a pretty good deal

Cooling looks good on that card, so yes, it may do.

All the luck of the draw, really, but I'd say you'd definitely get some extra oomph out of it, even if it doesn't quite reach speeds of that other card.

That does look a stonkingly good card and with the 16 pipe architecture should be all you need for any game out there for quite a while....Overclocking the card shouldn't be needed for a while so just enjoy the card as is for now, and oc it when the time comes...should be ages before you even think about it....

Well if its only the coolin that i wll have toworry about then i may end up gettin a Arctic Cooler for it at a later date! (If i get it that is!)

Just spoke to someone at Overclockers, They have just over 300 of the GX-068-LT, the £165 one. they got 95 of the GX-066-LT the £200 one!

Now all i gotta do is pick one!!

How much of a difference will the extra 100mhz on the memory really make in games, and is it really worth the extra money?

No not much difference you wouldn't notice it in real world terms.....only place it would become apparent is if you were benchmarking the two together...


And even then who's to say if you put the £165 card in my machine and the £200 card in yours that my machine may run it faster than your system could run the dearer one, due to differences in motherboard, ram and Bus performance....
