Leads in addition to Business Contacts

Is there a way to differentiate Leads from Business Contacts? I want
to work on leads before I create a Business Contact for them because I
use the Business Contacts for people that I do business with. I don't
want to have the leads mixed in. Is there a way to do this?

John,

There is not a specifically designated BCM Record item for Leads. You will
likely have to use the categories for partioning Leads separate from your
Business Contacts eventhough they would both still have to populate the same
Business Contact record form. Another idea might be to use the regular (non
BCM) Outlook Contact record item and either use the default Outlook contact
folder or create your own additional standard Outlook contact folders as
needed. The more fuller featured Microsoft CRM application has a Lead record
item that can be converted to an opportunity and then into a Contact or
Account. Unfortunately the current BCM version does not have this though I
too would love to see them add this additional object item to this
application in future versions.
