Leading zeros in CSV and Excel 97

Hi,
Is there any way to import a CSV file that contains
leading zeros into Excel 97? No matter what I do, it
drops the leading zeros. If I open it in Notepad, the
zeros are there, but not in Excel.

Any ideas?

If you rename the .csv file to .txt, you can open it and tell the text import
wizard to treat that field as text.

(or you could apply a custom format after you import the file (like 00000 to
show leading 0's).
