Leader line in TOC

Guest

In a Word 2003 file, I have a TOC set up with a right tab and leader option
for my page numbers. On screen the leader is a solid row of dots, but when
printed it has a consistant gap of 2 dots in the same space on every line. I
have sent this file to several printers with the same results. The TOC is 4
pages in length and not dependant on any links.

Any advice?

Thanks

Display the Drawing toolbar and click on the Select Objects tool. Wave it
over the area where the gap occurs to see if there is an invisible AutoShape
(line) in that position. That's rather a long shot, though.

It sounds as if you are creating your TOC manually. This is definitely a
hard row to hoe. See http://www.ShaunaKelly.com/word/toc/CreateATOC.html
and/or

for a tutorial in creating an automatic TOC.
