LDAP Server

Here's the scenario - Before I started my present job, they had an NT
network and converted it to 2000 with AD.

I'm trying to install so web filtering software that is asking for an
LDAP server to incorporate the Active Directory structure. However,
because it was a previous NT network, even though I know our LDAP
server should be the PDC or BDC, I can't use the typical naming
convention (ie dc01.main).

Any help is appreciated!
 
we use ldap to publish info to our e-mail clients. In our case we used
OpenLDAP, a free ldap server which queries AD and makes the ldap data
available to third party apps. Then you set OpenLDAP to use a different
port, we use port 500.
