LCD monitors do not flicker?

I have always been sensitive to CRT flicker at 60 hertz or less.
But my current big LCD monitor has been at 60 hertz for many
months with no noticeable flickering. Is that true for most or all
LCD displays?

Thanks.

Yes.

People used to think their dogs can't watch TV like we do. Dogs have a
higher refresh rate than we humans. Where we see a moving picture of a
car at 60Hz (or 50Hz) they see a flickering mess. The flickering may
grab a dogs attention for a bit, but that's it. They don't react to the
image of another dog on a CRT.
Now with LCDs without a flickering refresh - dogs are now responding.
Best one, look up "Mr. Woofie angry cat" on youtube. A Golden Retriever
is seen reacting intensely to a cat going crazy on a Macbook.
Its science!

Then the graphics card industry is dead. All of us have cards
that are good enough, and ATI and nVidia can close up shop and
lay off all their workers.

Assuming you are not just trolling, Dame, that horrible logic is
one reason you are not in a position to make such a decision.
