LCD Monitor Question

I recently replaced my crt monitor with an LCD Flat Screen monitor which
happens to have both digital and analog input. Since I don't have a digital
video card, I'm using the analog input but I'm wondering if I should buy a
digital video card to take advantage of the monitor's digital capabilities.
I'm not a gamer but do enjoy computer graphics. Will upgrading to a digital
video card make any difference?

It may do a little if you use the higher resolutions, but the difference
isnt huge and its not normally worth replacing the video card to get it.

Depends on the resolution and the particular monitor.
Generally speaking, I suggest that if you're picky about
display quality, get a digital output card (need not be
expensive, any cheap nVidia or ATI card would suffice) for
1280x1024, 1440 x 900 or higher. If not so picky, these two
resolutions will be acceptible but any higher would improve
enough to make it reasonable to get a card.
