I just bought a DCLCD 19" monitor.

When I installed it and booted the computer, the windows XP screen came up
and then the screen went black except for a srolling message "out of range"

User manual (very liimited information) says its a vga problem.

Can anyone tell me how to fix it??

Your resolution is set higher than your monitor supports. If you have the othermonitor use it and then properties to set it back to a supported resolution, or boot to safe mode which will be VGA and uninstall the adapter and restart It will be detected and reinstalled. Set to a supported resolution,
