I recently re-installed W2000 and my screen fonts look terrible. There's
nothing in the display that helps(right-click on the desktop). I know that
ClearType is not availabel for W2000. Any alternatives?

Thanks
Robert Dion

Check the hardware manufacturer's web site for the latest Windows 2000
driver for your graphics adapter.

|I reconfigured the screen resolution and refresh rate as per the

Just to chime in with my experiences.....

I recently got a flat panel LCD display and found out that the display won't
look very good unless it's set to the manufacturer's recommended setting. I
never knew that about LCD displays but it seems that any other settings
other then the recommended one results in a poor picture.

In my case I bought a 17" and have to run it @ 1280x1024 @ 60Hz to get a
good picture - and that took some getting used to. I miss the ability to
choose whatever resolution I wanted with a CRT and still get an awesome
picture......
