Layout errors on site when viewed on smaller desktop monitors

I am using FP2002 and IE6.02 browser.
My site layout is perfect on my 17 inch monitor but on smaller desktop monitors the picture gallery layout is bunched and some text boxes (positioned 'absolute') overlap other text on the page. How can I get my layout to be the same for monitors smaller than 17 inch?

Don't use absolute positioning, use tables set to a % width.

Thanks Thomas, should I set 'position' to "none" or "relative" and ...the % value- is that in the 'size' variable and if so it is currently at 100%. Should I check the box 'lock aspect ratio'?

Remove all absolute positioning from your pages, use tables only. Set the
table width to a %, 100%, 98% etc. Your table cell widths must equal 100% of
the table width.
