Layers in word 2003?

Can you create layers in word 2003 like you do in Photoshop? I'm trying to
make a monogram with a light letter in the background and a name on top of
the letter. Thanks

No layers in Word, but you may be able to fake it by inserting the
background as a figure and selecting the wrapping style Behind Text for
the figure.
